Michael
Jackson Events Tickets
Remain
Unsold
Just
days before
Michael
Jackson
hosts two exclusive fan
events in Tokyo,
promoters say tickets
have not sold out.
Michael
Jackson's VIP
meet-and-greet party on
Thursday, followed by a
fan art contest the next
day, is seen as putting
the spotlight back on
the singer in one of his
traditional strongholds
following his acquittal
on child molestation
charges in 2005.
Screaming
fans greeted Jackson
when he arrived for his
second visit to Japan in
recent years.
But
tickets for both main
events were available on
Tuesday, perhaps a
reflection of the high
price demanded for a
brush with fame.
Guests
paying 400,000 yen
(£1,800) to attend
Thursday's VIP party get
to mingle with Michael
Jackson and spend up to
one minute of exclusive
face time with him,
according to organisers.
It
was unclear whether the
star will perform any
songs.
Those
on a tighter budget can
pay 15,000 yen
(£67) for Friday's
fan art contest, which
will also be hosted by
the award-winning
artist.
