Angelina
Jolie Completes Vietnam
Adoption
Angelina
Jolie
has completed her
adoption of a
three-year-old boy from
Vietnam.
The
Tomb
Raider
star has left the
capital Hanoi after a
short trip during which
she obtained a visa to
take Pax Thien Jolie to
his new life in the
US.
He
is Angelina Jolie's
third adopted child. The
star also gave birth to
a daughter with her
partner, actor
Brad
Pitt,
last May.
Angelina
Jolie largely managed to
avoid the paparazzi
lenses in Vietnam by
staying out of view in
luxury
hotels.
When
she did go out to
complete adoption
procedures, she
travelled in cars with
blacked-out windows and
only emerged once parked
in private underground
garages.
The
boy was born Pham Quang
Sang but Jolie has
renamed him Pax Thien,
combining the Latin word
for peace and the
Vietnamese word for sky
or
heaven.
He
had lived in an
orphanage in Ho Chi Minh
City since being
abandoned at
birth.
US
agency Adoptions from
the Heart rebutted a
claim by a Vietnamese
official that Angelina
Jolie's adoption was
"fast-tracked".
Angelina,
31, was joined in
Vietnam by her
five-year-old son
Maddox, who was adopted
from Cambodia, and
two-year-old Zahara, who
was adopted from
Ethiopia.
