Pete
Doherty Facing Motoring
Charges
Rock
star Pete
Doherty
has been charged with
four driving offences
following his arrest
last year.
Pete
Doherty, 27, is charged
with failing to produce
driving documents and
driving with no
insurance.
The
musician also faces
charges of driving with
no MOT and failing to
comply with driving
licence
conditions.
The
Babyshambles frontman,
who was arrested on 19
November 2006, was
bailed to appear at
Thames Magistrates'
Court on 13
February.
Police
also charged two other
occupants of Pete
Doherty's car who were
arrested along with
him.
Michelle
Breeze, 30, a retail
manager from Streatham,
south London, was
charged with two counts
of possession of
heroin.
Peter
Wolfe, 38, a songwriter
from Maidstone, Kent,
was charged with
possession of
cocaine.
They
were both also bailed to
appear at Thames
Magistrates' Court on 13
February.
Last
month Pete Doherty
attended a review of a
drug treatment order at
Thames Magistrates'
Court, east
London.
District
Judge Jane McIvor said
Pete Doherty was making
"optimistic" progress in
his battle against drug
addiction.
Pete
Doherty was ordered to
take part in a treatment
programme after
admitting drug
possession charges in
April 2006.
