Britney's
Custody Battle Hots
Up
Since
Britney
Spears
and Kevin separated last
November, they have had
a temporary agreement to
share joint custody of
their two young sons,
Sean Preston and Jayden
James.
But
behind the scenes, a
fierce custody battle
has been raging, with
Britney Spears insisting
the children should be
with her all of the
time, and Kevin adamant
he won't give them
up.
At
least not for a very
large fee.
According
to reports, Kevin
refused Britney's
initial offer of $10
million to drop his
fight for sole custody,
and has just rejected an
increased offer of $25
million. Instead, he's
said to have demanded
$50 million in exchange
for letting her 'keep'
the kids.
Britney
is fully aware of the
bad publicity she has
received lately and is
worried Kevin will use
it in court to portray
her as a bad mother. But
she still refuses to
meet him half way - she
is demanding full legal
and physical custody of
her children, and
nothing less.
Kev
would have visitation
rights but the star is
adamant she won't share
custody with her ex, and
is prepared to give away
a large chunk of her
fortune to ensure
this.
