Scarlett
Johansson Blasts Bush's
Sex
Stance
Scarlett
Johansson
has hit out at US
President George Bush
over his conservative
stance on sexual
issues.
Mr
Bush is staunchly
anti-abortion and has
heavily advocated
teaching teenagers to
abstain from sex in
order to avoid
pregnancy.
"We
are supposed to be
liberated in America but
if our President had his
way, we wouldn't be
educated about sex at
all," she told
Cosmopolitan. "Every
woman would have six
children and we wouldn't
be able to have
abortions."
During
his first term Mr Bush
tightened access to
terminations, banning
some late-term
procedures and offering
legal protection to
doctors and hospitals
unwilling to carry out
abortions.
And
under his presidency a
multi-million dollar
fund was established for
abstinence-only
education to
teenagers.
Scarlett
Johansson has insisted
she may be open-minded
about sex but is not
promiscuous.
Last
month revealed she gets
tested for HIV every
six-months and believes
everyone else should
too.
