Celebrity Show Deal For
Noel
Edmonds
Noel
Edmonds
has told Deal Or No Deal
bosses he will quit the
show if they force him
to have celebrity
contestants.
The
48-year-old said he
hates the trend of
having celebrity
editions of every
gameshow, particularly
if the guests aren't
even stars.
"The
thought of having C-list
celebrities is
horrifying. It would
never happen," he said.
"That would be the point
when I'd say
goodbye."
The
hit Channel 4 series
offers contestants the
chance to win up to
£250,000 by opening
a series of numbered
boxes.
However,
Noel did concede the
all-star versions of
Chris Tarrant's Who
Wants To Be A
Millionaire do make good
TV.
He
said Chris's show worked
because "you want to see
if celebrities are
bright - but we're just
opening
boxes".
But
it seems that the idea
hasn't been ruled out
entirely.
Bosses
at Endemol,
who make the show, said:
"No decisions have yet
been finalised for a
celebrity
edition."
