Gordon
Ramsay Least Popular
Boss
Celebrity
chef Gordon
Ramsay,
soccer manager Sir Alex
Ferguson and
reality
show
tycoon Sir Alan Sugar
topped a list of bosses
people would least like
to work for, according
to a new
report.
A
survey of 1,000 adults
by online recruiter
totaljobs.com
showed that Virgin chief
Sir Richard Branson was
the most popular
boss.
The
report said "ranting"
managers were on their
way out of the
workplace, replaced by
bosses who consulted
their staff more
often.
Gordon,
star of Hell's Kitchen
and The F Word, is well
known for his
four-letter rants and
tough talking in the
kitchen.
Sir
Alex uses a
tongue-lashing technique
known as "the hairdryer"
for players who fail to
meet his high
standards.
And
Sir Alan has shown his
no-nonsense approach on
the popular TV show The
Apprentice.
In
the survey, four out of
five managers quizzed
regarded themselves as
trustworthy, but fewer
than one in three of
their staff
agreed.
One
in five managers
described themselves as
a "good laugh", but only
one in 10 of their staff
agreed.
