Kylie
Minogue Announces
Manchester
Shows
Kylie
Minogue
will play two concerts
in Manchester when she
brings her Showgirl
Homecoming tour to the
UK next year.
The
new shows will take
place on January 12 and
13 at the Manchester
Evening News Arena.
Tickets go on sale on
Friday.
Initial
tour dates, at Wembley
Arena in London, sold
out in just six
minutes.
The
38-year-old singer was
forced to postpone her
2005 tour when she was
diagnosed with breast
cancer in May last
year.
She
completed chemotherapy
in December but her
treatment continues as
she tries to make a full
recovery.
The
Showgirl Homecoming tour
marks Kylie's return to
the stage.
However,
the pop star says she
has slowed down the pace
of her concerts because
she is still not fully
fit.
"I'm
as prepared as I can be,
but I'm not sure that
I'll be able to do
everything that I did
before," she told Sky
One last
month.
The
tour begins in Australia
at the Sydney
Entertainment Centre on
11 November, before
coming to the UK in
early 2007.
The
Manchester concerts are
currently the only UK
dates to be held outside
London.
