Kylie
Minogue Family Fell To
Pieces
Kylie
Minogue
said her family "all
fell to pieces" when she
was told she had breast
cancer last year, in her
first interview since
the
diagnosis.
The
singer, 38, said her
first reaction to the
news was: "No, I'm
getting on a plane", to
continue a
tour.
But
her parents, who were
with her, said: "No
you're not - sit down",
Minogue says in the
interview to be shown on
Sky One on 16
July.
Kylie
Minogue has been in
recovery since
undergoing surgery and
chemotherapy.
She
finished chemotherapy in
December 2005, but still
receives treatment to
prevent a return of the
cancer.
In
the interview with
presenter Cat Deeley,
Kylie talks about her
treatment and recovery,
as well as plans for a
new album and
tour.
Last
month she announced
plans to stage the
Australian leg of her
Showgirl tour she was
forced to postpone last
year.
It
has been renamed the
Showgirl Homecoming tour
and is due to start in
November
2006.
Australian
concert promoter Michael
Gudinski said Minogue
"has still got a few
mountains to
climb".
But
he added: "You can't
keep Kylie down. She's
actually recording in
the studio and working
on songs as we
speak."
Kylie
Minogue appeared on
stage last month at the
end of a concert by her
younger sister Dannii at
GAY in London's
Astoria.
