James Blunt
Breaks Into US Top Ten
Singer-songwriter
James Blunt's debut, Back To Bedlam, has
reached number nine in the US album sales
chart - 16 weeks after its American
release.
The CD
sold more than 41,000 copies last week to
rise four places in the chart, according
to Nielsen Soundscan.
After
its British release in October 2004, it
topped the UK chart for nine weeks
becoming 2005's best seller.
US album
sales rose 1% compared with the previous
week - but, at 9.5 million, they were 1%
lower than the same period a year
ago.
Although
sales for the year so far exceed sales
from the same period in 2005 by about 2%,
at 30.3 million.
