Renee Zellweger
'To Play Rabbit Author'
Actress
Renee Zellweger is to play Beatrix Potter
in a film about the author's life,
according to reports.
The
Oscar-winning star will take on the role
of Potter in the film which will look at
her life and her struggle in Victorian
England.
Potter
went on to write classic children's
stories, such as The Tale Of Peter
Rabbit.
Actor
Ewan McGregor is also in talks to star in
the film, Hollywood trade paper Variety
said.
It will
be the first time Zellweger and McGregor
have appeared in a film together since the
romantic comedy Down With Love in
2003.
Filming
on Miss Potter will begin in the UK next
March with Babe director Chris Noonan at
the helm.
Miss
Potter will be a return to an English role
for Zellweger, following her roles in
Bridget Jones in Bridget Jones's Diary and
its sequel The Edge Of Reason.
She will
also act as executive producer on the
film, Variety added.
