No Love Between
Coogan And Courtney
Claims
that singer Courtney Love is carrying
Steve Coogan's baby have now been denied
by both stars.
The
showbiz world was left stunned by reports
that the wild woman of rock was pregnant
by the Alan Partridge star after a
fling.
Coogan's
spokeswoman scoffed at the Sunday
newspaper claims, as reported in later
editions of yesterday's M.E.N., and
insisted: "It's nonsense."
Drug
addict Love, 41, the widow of Nirvana
frontman Kurt Cobain, was said to have
enjoyed an affair with Coogan while they
were both staying at the Sunset Marquis
hotel in West Hollywood.
In a
statement released last night, Love denied
the claims: "Courtney Love wishes to make
it clear that she denies recent stories
suggesting she is pregnant or has had a
relationship with Steve Coogan.
"She
confirms that she and Steve are good
friends and have met a few times in Los
Angeles."
Love,
who has an 11-year-old daughter by Cobain,
is going through troubled
times.
She is
currently in rehab after admitting using
drugs while on probation for three
separate drug and assault
cases.
Coogan,
39, has had a colourful private life. His
marriage ended last month on the grounds
of his unreasonable behaviour. He had
earlier admitted cheating on his wife with
a lapdancer.
